“European Parliament Elections, discussing a future worth voting for”, the first workshop at the Vrije University of Amsterdam – Netherlands

Organized by Prof. Jan Kleinnijenhuis of Department of Communication Science, in collaboration with the Political Science Department, the European Parliamentary Election Discussion has been successful, with more than 90 attendees.
Several politicians and experts talked about the goals of EU and its importance for European citizens, although it’s currently perceived as an obscure and distant entity. Focusing on the biggest challenges the EU is facing, particular attention has been paid to climate change, migration and economic issues.
